It came to my attention recently that Oprah is to begin a series on her radio show (XM 156) called A Course in Miracles that will be led by Marianne Williamson. I chose to not write a post about it because it wasn’t even worth my attention. I don’t watch Oprah and really, thought nothing more of this radio series until I came across this article recently. The article itself bothered me but it’s not the article itself that I felt worthy of some attention. There is a link within the article that will take you to an interview that Oprah did with Edith Hicks that people need to know about. As Oprah herself says, what happens in the interview couldn’t be shared on television. People aren’t ready to hear what occurs in the interview, but I believe everyone should be made aware of it.

I believe wealth has gone to Oprah’s head. She may sound like she’s preaching a revival on the stump with Omama, but when you listen to her, especially on XM Radio, you realize she is as far from Jesus Christ as you can get. And Marianne Williamson, frequently on Oprah’s channel, is basically a Nwe Age kook who says things that range from heretical: “In our natural state, we are glorious beings,” to meaningless: “The spiritual path – is simply the journey of living our lives,” the the outright kookie: “Some men know that a light touch of the tongue, running from a woman’s toes to her ears, lingering in the softest way possible in various places in between, given often enough and sincerely enough, would add immeasurably to world peace.”
And all the women said, “Amen!” Oy Vey.

It could be wealth but but I’m not even sure she’s that “deep”. I have heard her say that she does believe in God, she just doesn’t believe that Jesus the Christ is the Only way to God. What’s the point then really? I don’t know anything about Marianne Williamson but the article that I mentioned at herescope is “interesting” enough, it’s more the radio interview that she did with Edith Hicks that was disturbing to me. People like to think that Oprah is such a fine, upstanding person who has some religious belief but have no idea that she’s speaking to some spirit that another woman has allowed herself to be possessed by. I’d never actually heard anything like that before. Of course I don’t buy it, but in my opinion, it’s more frightening that this Hicks person would be willing to “channel a spirit” and have no idea what she’s actually doing . It’s sickening that there are those who know what they’re doing and continue to do this. It’s sad for those who practice this out of ignorance.
